  • Applicants must be admitted for a full course of study.
  • Students must provide reliable financial documentation to prove that they have financial resources adequate to meet all expenses while studying at Fisk University.
  • Actual documentation must indicate that funds exist at least for the student’s first year of study at Fisk.
  • Once your financial documents have been approved, your I-20 will be processed and mailed to you. Sign and date your Form I-20 at the bottom of page-1 and use it to apply for F-1visa.

Criteria For Admission Into Fisk University

Applications must be submitted electronically. Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the June 30th deadline will not be considered.

There are a limited number of Endowed and Annual Named scholarships available for incoming and returning students. For consideration, students must complete a Scholarship Application and must reapply annually. Refund Policy: Any student receiving an Endowed and/or Annual Named scholarship who is eligible to receive a refund from any source will have that refund reduced by the amount of the Endowed and/or Annual scholarship award without exception.

Need-based aid is awarded on a case by case basis. Consideration will be given at the beginning of the Spring semester to applicants that have been accepted to the university. All students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This is done online at fafsa.ed.gov. There is no firm deadline but families are strongly encouraged to file by February 15. The Fisk code is 003490. This code must be used in order for our Office of Student Financial Aid to receive your information and create a financial aid award. Financial aid awards are distributed electronically and typically received by families in late spring.
